The Calidore String Quartet, is acknowledged as one of the foremost chamber music ensembles globally, renowned for its interpretations of a broad repertoire, ranging from Beethoven and Mendelssohn to contemporary composers like Kurtág and Shaw. Celebrated for their astonishing performances, the Quartet has graced major venues such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, and Wigmore Hall. Their most recent recording project includes a complete cycle of Beethoven’s string quartets, with Volume I winning BBC Music Magazine’s Chamber Award. The Calidore Quartet serves as the University of Delaware’s Distinguished String Quartet in residence and was mentored by the Emerson Quartet at SUNY–Stony Brook.

Colin Donnell recently starred as the lead in Peacock's Irreverent. He's best known for his roles as Dr. Connor Rhodes in NBC’s Chicago Med and Tommy Merlyn in CW’s Arrow. His other TV credits include The Affair, Pan Am, and Person of Interest. In film, he appeared in Every Secret Thing and Almost Love. On stage, he played Russell Hammond in Almost Famous and starred in Broadway's Violet, Anything Goes (earning multiple nominations), and Jersey Boys. Donnell is originally from St. Louis and now resides in New York.

Acclaimed Broadway actress, Nikki Renée Daniels, recently starred as Jenny in the Tony Award Winning Broadway revival of Company. Her other Broadway credits include The Book of Mormon, Porgy and Bess, Les Misérables, Anything Goes, Promises Promises, and Lestat. She recently played Martha Jefferson in 1776 at Encores, and Rose Lennox in The Secret Garden. Her regional credits include Emmie in Caroline or Change, Sarah in Ragtime, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Hope in Anything Goes, and Angelica Schuyler in the Chicago company of Hamilton. Nikki has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras in Atlanta, San Francisco, Houston, Detroit, Omaha, Indianapolis, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops.

Named “America’s greatest quartet” by Time Magazine, the Emerson String Quartet has maintained its status as one of the world’s premier chamber music ensembles for more than four decades. Since its start in 1976, the Quartet has made more than 30 acclaimed recordings and has been honored with a variety of esteemed awards including nine GRAMMYs® (two of which were for Best Classical Album) the Avery Fisher Prize, three Gramophone Awards, and Musical America’s “Ensemble of the Year” award.
During their farewell season, performances have included major concert halls across the United States and Europe. This performance marks the Emerson’s fifth and final appearance in the Hoch Series.
