Performance Opportunities
Each year, Concordia Conservatory presents more than 150 performances and recordings by students and faculty. Students from beginning to advanced levels are encouraged to experience public and recorded performances. Faculty recommend their individual students for upcoming performance opportunities. The satisfaction and self-confidence students gain by playing in these settings is important to personal and musical development.
Performance Classes
The Conservatory encourages students of all levels to participate in these informal settings where they can perform for their peers, faculty, and directors. An accompanist is provided for performance classes.
Honors Recitals
These semi-annual recitals feature students who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and progress during the school year, based on a teacher’s recommendation and take place at The Reformed Church of Bronxville.
Year-End Recitals
Student recitals are held for family and friends at the end of the year. Performances take place at The Reformed Church of Bronxville and are presented as live concerts. Recital participation is highly recommended. Students prepare repertoire with the approval and guidance of the teacher.
Graduation Recital / CAPSTONE Performances
This recital offers a concentrated performance outlet for the music student at the end of his/her senior year in high school. Students prepare recital repertoire and set dates with the Executive Director.
Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship
In this annual event, students and faculty perform throughout the day to raise funds for the Conservatory scholarship and outreach programs.
