On Friday, March 13 and 14, Concordia Conservatory proudly presented the latest performance in our UNIQUE Series, You Have a Choice. The program began with in-school performances at Villa Maria School and Westover Magnet School on Friday, followed by public performances at The Reformed Church of Bronxville, Concordia Conservatory Stamford, and the New Canaan Library, on Saturday
Our neurodiverse and disabled audiences—along with their families and caregivers—responded with tremendous enthusiasm. We were especially pleased to welcome residents from adult group homes at IAHD and Abilis, as well as participants from our own Friday and Saturday Adaptive Creative Arts classes, supported by a grant from The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester and Tuckahoe.
We extend our deep gratitude to Rami Vamos for writing such a thoughtful and wonderfully funny show, and to Tommy Schrider for serving as our engaging and hilarious host. The program was brought to life by our outstanding faculty Lilly Slaughter, Heather Bixler, Annette Espada, and Yousif Sheronick, joined by Chad Smith of Orchestra Lumos. We are also grateful to our ambassadors Kathleen Moriarty and Ashton Turner for warmly welcoming audiences and helping the performances run smoothly.
Thanks to the dedication and artistry of everyone involved, the UNIQUE Series continues to demonstrate how the arts can create meaningful connections and joyful experiences for all.
We now look ahead with excitement to our next UNIQUE performance, Love, on May 1 & 2.
