Concordia Conservatory proudly announces its 26th annual holiday community musical, The Spirit Society, with performances on Saturday, December 6 at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and Sunday, December 7 at 3:00 PM in the Bronxville School Auditorium. Tickets are on sale and selling fast!
The Spirit Society, composed and written by Joy Redmond and Greg Suss, follows Saint Nicholas as he gathers a spirited cast of beloved holiday icons—Cupid, the Easter Bunny, the Great Pumpkin, the Tooth Fairy, and more, to preserve the joy, generosity, and traditions that define holidays throughout the year. Together they face the stern St. Barnabas, who hopes to transform celebrations into somber rituals, and remind him—and the audience—of the power of love, faith, family, and giving.
The cast features performers from across Westchester and Fairfield counties and the Bronx: Gussie Allan, Logan Anderson, Ciara Andrews, Hudson Axelbaum, Zach Bostock, Hudson Buzzeo, Maya Buzzeo, Juliette Cebenoyan, Colin Chalk, Gemma Chalk, Niara E. Dufane-Armand, Brianna Fazio, Stella Foster, Ariana Gleason, Maya Gleason, Alice Harris, Camryn Horowitz, Elliot Horowitz, Zoe Hug, Kit Knapp, Blake Lander, Emily Lord, Madelyn Mannion, Elise Martinez, Annette Marino, Soren Mayer, Alexandra Mazzella, Isabella Mazzella, Kathleen Moriarty, Rory Pingel, Lyanna Pollakowski, Porter Rao, Laura Sanchez, Alyssa Sequeira, Neriah Sims, Lilly Slaughter, Sean Spillane, Kingsley Stone, Diana Sullivan, Kayla Tobin, Ben Tyree, Thatcher Tyree, and Mary Weismiller. And our backstage includes Zoe Chen, Athenry Ma, and Zara Seamark.
The production is led by an accomplished creative team, Stage Directors Grace Smyth and Cam Coffey (both Conservatory alumni), Music Director Charles duChateau, Choreographer Jason Summers, Assistant Choreographer Katie Yacoub (alum), and Stage Manager Alexandra Seuffert (a Conservatory student).
“Each year we look forward to welcoming families to kick off the holiday season with this joyful community tradition,” said Executive Director Kathleen Suss. “The Spirit Society beautifully captures the meaning behind the holidays and the values that bring people together.”
