Concordia College Appoints Lois Montorio Vice President of Advancement

On April 1, Lois Montorio was appointed Vice President of Advancement at Concordia College New York.

Ms. Montorio has been with Concordia College since 2017, rising through advancement and alumni relations roles where her initiatives significantly increased donor and alumni engagement. Previously, she held alumni relations positions at educational institutions in New Jersey and California.

Ms. Montorio will be charged with several key advancement priorities, including oversight of The Campaign for Concordia, a $12 million comprehensive campaign. The campaign’s public phase will kick off with a multi-media gala cocktail party for friends, neighbors, faculty, staff, students and alumni. Originally scheduled for this month, the gala is now slated for Saturday, October 17th during Homecoming and Alumni Weekend. The campaign’s private phase, led by Ms. Montorio and Kathleen Suss, Vice President for Major Gifts, has been extraordinarily productive, bringing in over 80% of the total goal in a record year for fundraising.

“We are so grateful for the community of alumni and friends who believe in our students and our mission, especially those who continue to offer support even as their own lives have been impacted in these unprecedented times,” said Ms. Montorio. “It has been truly rewarding to give back to alumni with our professional networking app, social media support for business owners, and appreciation for Concordia’s own on the front lines.”

President John A. Nunes said, “Lois’s gracious and effective ambassadorship has been a blessing to Concordia College. Her commitment to our mission and authentic connection with our alumni and donors make her most worthy of this appointment.”
