Concordia Conservatory presents a livestream version of the annual Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship

Concordia Conservatory presents its annual Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship as a LIVESTREAM EVENT on Saturday March 13 from 9:30 am – 4:00 pm from the Sommer Center at Concordia College New York.

“With restrictions on in person gatherings still in place, we are transforming our Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship into an even bigger event this year, able to reach more viewers and donors via the internet,” said Kathleen Suss, Executive Director of Concordia Conservatory.

The Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship will feature Conservatory faculty and student instrumentalists and vocalists performing in front of a livestream camera throughout the day in five and ten minute intervals. Students have asked family and friends to make a suggested $10 donation in in support of their performances.

The public can watch the livestream on the Conservatory’s YouTube channel and make donations at concordiaconservatory.org or by contacting Melinda Magnani at Melinda.magnani@concordia-ny.edu or 914-395-4507.  All funds go directly to the Conservatory Scholarship Fund and the Outreach Program. Concordia Conservatory has been holding annual student and faculty fundraising events since 2003.

The Music Play-a-thon for Scholarship ensures scholarship funding to students of all ages with an inability to afford instruction/therapy. In addition the Conservatory offers free outreach enrichment to area elementary, middle, and high schools in the Westchester and Fairfield communities. The scholarship fund awards over 600 need and merit based scholarships per year.
