April 17 - Hoch Chamber Music Series: PATITUCCI & SCHUBERT

Concordia Conservatory will present its final Hoch Chamber Music Series Concert of the 2020-21 season, Patitucci and Schubert, on Saturday, April 17 at 7:00 pm as a livestream event from Sommer Center for Worship and the Performing Arts at Concordia College New York.

The virtual concert, recorded the week prior in Sommer Center, will be hosted live by John Patitucci and Lawrence Dutton. The longtime friends will bring their deep musical  knowledge and humor throughout the evening.

The program includes Patitucci’s “Lyric Song Cycle for Viola with String Quintet” and “Duo for Violin and Viola”; jazz selections performed by Patitucci on bass, Dutton on viola, Jon Cowherd on piano; as well as 2 movements of Franz Schubert’s Quintet for Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass: “The Trout”. Also performing will be Elizabeth Lim-Dutton, violin; Jee Sun Lee, violin; Emanouil Manolov, viola; Andrew Janss, cello and Jon Klibonoff, piano.

“As we close out the 2020-21 Hoch season, we can proudly say that the virtual platform has served the Concordia Conservatory and its audiences well during this unprecedented time, allowing us to share the joy of music safely. Concordia Conservatory looks forward to returning to in-person concerts for the 2021-22 season,” said Executive Director Kathleen Suss.
