March 20 - Next in the Musical Adventures Family Series: WOLFGANG GETS WRITER'S BLOCK

Concordia Conservatory’s Musical Adventures Family Series returns on Saturday, March 20 at 11:00 am with “Wolfgang Gets Writer’s Block.” The performance will be recorded in the Sommer Center at Concordia College and broadcast on the Conservatory’s YouTube channel.

Writer-actor-musician Rami Vamos has been bringing comedic musical education to families through his character Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry since 2011. In “Wolfgang Gets Writer’s Block,” the goofy composer needs a dose of inspiration on the double. He finds it with the help of fellow composer Nurit von Schnottingham and musicians from the Conservatory playing Beethoven, Brahms and Ravel. Many laughs later, he and his audience have learned that with the scale and a bit of inspiration, the musical possibilities are endless.

Performers include Concordia Conservatory faculty violinist Emanouil Manolov, cellist Chungsun Kim, and pianist Jon Klibonoff, with Rami Vamos as W.A. Schmutzinberry and Nurit Monacelli as von Schnottingham.

The family-friendly broadcast will be available on the Conservatory’s YouTube channel. Access to the link is $25 per household and can be purchased here or by calling (914) 395-4507.
