At Concordia Conservatory, every scholarship represents an investment in a child's future.
We are thrilled to congratulate Samuel de Oliveira Migacho on his recent selection to the Westchester County All-County Orchestra, a wonderful accomplishment that reflects years of dedication, hard work, and exceptional musical growth.
Samuel lives in Pelham and attends Hutchinson Elementary School, where he will enter the fourth grade this fall. He studies cello with Concordia Conservatory faculty member Annette Espada, whose outstanding teaching has helped Samuel develop both musical excellence and a lifelong love of music.
An only child, Samuel's parents are originally from Portugal and moved to New York following his mother's postdoctoral work at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Their commitment to education and Samuel's enthusiasm for music have created a wonderful partnership for success.
Samuel has also become a shining example of giving back. Since joining Concordia Conservatory as a scholarship student, he has participated in every Play-a-thon for Scholarship, helping ensure that other children have access to the same opportunities he has received.
His story reminds us that scholarship support changes lives. It opens doors, nurtures talent, and creates opportunities that extend far beyond the music classroom. Congratulations, Samuel! We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to watching your musical journey continue.
