Musical Theatre Workshop Camp
This four-week summer workshop will produce and perform its own end-of-camp, one-act musical theatre show. The musical theatre workshop will focus on vocal technique, drama skills and choreography. The first week of camp consists of the process of writing the musical. The second week is focused on learning the music and lines, blocking/staging the show, and character development. The third and fourth week will be dedicated to the rehearsal and performance.
The camp is skill-based, giving each student a unique opportunity to study the many aspects of the musical theatre experience. Our Conservatory musical theatre faculty of Matt Van Brink, Kellen Blair, and Jen Littlefield are interested in the development of the individual on a non-competitive basis. Values and respect are part of the experience, guided by care and support of our musical theatre staff. The program concludes with performances on July 20 & 21 at the Concordia Conservatory
